Note: When these sections instruct you to "run", "type" or execute command lines, they mean typing the commands/instruction into Start->Run. Any reference to HKLM (HKey Local Machine) is a location within the Windows Registry (Start->Regedit). These tips & tricks assume you have sufficient knowledge to carry out the instructions and Guru Guy is not responsible for any consequences of implementing them.

Office 2003 User Interface
To minimise Outlook to the System Tray (by the clock) instead of on the task bar, under regedit modify: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK\PREFERENCES
CREATE new DWORD and call it "MinToTray". Modify data to "1".
Turn off the annoying Normal.dot template save prompt in Word:
run winword.exe /m (this disables macros)
Go to Tools->Macros->Macro. Select "Macros In" Selection box and select Normal.dot
Remove anything related to Autoexec or AutoNew
Disable Email Tracking options in Outlook:
Tools->Options->preferences tab->“Email Options” button ->“Tracking Options” button.
Make sure you “never send a response” is selected.
Clean Outlook reminders from command line:
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe /cleanreminders
/cleanfreebusy
/cleansniff
Put a "Recover Deleted Items" Option in Outlook (If Exchange Server is set to store them)
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Options
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type the name DumpsterAlwaysOn.
Note: Do not type any spaces in the name.
Set the DWORD value to 1.
Restart Outlook.

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\SCANOST.EXE"
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\SCANPST.EXE"
